Krikor P. Moses Der-Hagopian, born in Baghdad in 1977, got his Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Denver in 2009, the Joseph Korbel School of International Studies, and his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Al-Mansour in 2001.
Currently and since 2019, Mr. Der-Hagopian is the Director General of Planning and International Relations Division at the Iraqi Presidency. From 2015-2018 he worked as the Director General of the Public Policies Department at the Presidency and was the acting interpreter to the President of the Republic. From 2009- 2013 he worked as Director General at the Presidency’s Secretariat General.
Krikor is a James Madison Fellow. His personal skills include negotiations, policy planning, and conflict management. He has several published research papers. Further, he is fluent in English, Arabic, and Armenian. He’s also a professional interpreter and translator from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.
